About the Hana Hou Music Program
Our Mission
The Hana Hou Music Program’s mission is to develop, advocate, and provide music education in Maui, Hawai’i, and to serve as a free musical resource to the community regardless of background, artistic ability, or economic circumstance.
What We Do
The Hana Hou Music Program is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that provides a series of free presentations and performances over the course of several weeks each year, with the goal to help reinforce students’ passion for live music. In our inaugural season, we visited multiple public schools on the island of Maui, such as King Kekaulike High School and Lahaina Luna High School. Additionally, we organize free performances in the community performing at venues including Hale Makua Health Services, the Performing Arts Center at King Kekaulike, the Coffee Attic, and Queen Ka’ahumanu Mall.
How We Came to Be
Our founder, Kisa Uradomo, was born and raised on Maui. Growing up, she relied heavily on the supportive music community and music educators on the island. Through Hana Hou, she hopes to give back to this community and provide an enriched experience to its students, as well as the local community at large.
Who We Are
The Hana Hou Music Program invites and collaborates with musicians and organizations, both local and from the mainland, to provide meaningful musical experiences to the community of Maui. Click below to learn more about our team!
Support our 2025 Season
Our class presentations, clinics, and performances are completely free and open to the public. This is made possible through generous support made by community members and patrons of the arts. Please consider helping bring more music to Maui this August by contributing to us!
